It makes us really
happy when reviewers really get it, like when Paul
Pacult of the Spirits Journal wrote after tasting Hangar
One, “Extraordinary...unlike
anything I’ve experienced in 13 years of professional
spirits evaluation.”
But you know, it’s also really great when we get
a 3 AM message on the machine from, say, someone in North
Carolina who just got turned on to Hangar One, maybe
had a couple, and just can’t go to bed without
calling us up to say how great the vodka is. We also
love what many people exclaim when we pour it for them
for the first time: “O my God!”
We don’t have a huge public relations budget.
We get good press because Hangar One is really great
vodka. We never pay people to try our stuff or say nice
things about us. We’re very proud that Food & Wine
Magazine, Spirit Journal, and Wine & Spirits Magazine
all named Hangar One as Vodka of the Year when we released
it. We’re even prouder of the fact that we’ve
never said anything about our products that wasn’t
true.
Corby Kummer, who’s
an excellent reporter and spent a lot of time talking
to us, wrote this excellent article in
the Atlantic Monthly.
It’s clear that our kind of product is part of
a big change in the world of distilled spirits. If you’d
