Talking straight, we think that claims about distilling vodka multiple times are meaningless.
No major brand we know of is actually distilling a vodka entirely on pot stills, which would be the only way that “triple distilled” (etc.) would make sense. All the major brands use a column still, and their vodka comes off at 95% alcohol or higher. No one is putting 95% alcohol into a column still for a second distillation.
Here’s another thing. The more you distill something, the less you get of the stuff that gives character to a distilled spirit.
Good product is made right the first time. Redistillation and heavy filtration is for fixing mistakes, and you can’t redistill or filter heavily without removing some of the good parts, too. See what an Idaho distiller has to say about multiple distillation.
